Mr. Brittain associated with McLeod, Alexander, Powell & Apffel in 2002. His principal area of practice is trusts and estates, including estate planning, will contests, trust administration, and guardianships. He is also responsible for a large portion of the Firm's transactional work, which meets a wide array of commercial and real estate needs. Additionally, Mr. Brittain has considerable experience in general litigation matters, including commercial litigation, real estate disputes, contract disputes, creditors' rights and insurance defense. As a senior associate, he has represented a variety of clients, from individuals and small businesses in the Galveston community to national and global companies, such as BP America Inc., BNSF Railway Company, and The Port of Galveston (Galveston Wharves).
